Jayaraj, born on 1st July, 1966 comes from a small village at Kanyakumari District, a place gifted with nature. Father being an Ex-Service person in IAF, was brought up most of the time by his mother, a lover of nature. After completing 10th from an CBSE school, joined an Matriculation School for completing Plus 2. Later on, pursued and completed A.M.I.E (Electronics & Telecommunications) through coaching from a renowned institution at Kodambakkam.
Gardening and farming being a passion, had a lot of experience in the childhood. Enjoying natures bounty in its purity was deep rooted in his mind from his childhood. So, even though got a well-paid job in Chennai and worked for nearly 15 years for the parent company, the quest for serving the society and be a part of nature made him to come out of the mechanical life in Chennai and take up the responsibility in another division of the same company which was starting its operation at Palakkad, Kerala (God’s own Country), for setting up a Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment and Disposal Facility (CBWTDF) in January, 2004.
The plant situated in a serene place surrounded by forest, hills and plantations made him pursue his dream journey for another 20 years in the same company, nurturing the dreams of many in his path and also manage bio medical waste scientifically collected and transported from all over Kerala. The company even though started its operations initially for 3 districts with a mere 100 kg/day, later covered all of Kerala and a waste quantity of around 60 tons/day, making it the largest single facility in India for bio medical waste management.
The job was having lot of challenges from training the health care staff on segregation, timely collections, safe transportation of the hazardous waste, proper treatment and safe disposal of the final products. The biggest challenge emerged during Covid period. When everyone was afraid of getting affected with the covid pandemic, the team lead by him collected, transported and managed nearly 10,000 tons of such waste before covid came to an end.
Being a continuous learner, nature lover and waste manager his love for extending his knowledge and experience to others has led to the starting of Divine Eco Concepts after his retirement from the group after serving it for a long 34 years.
Having trained, educated and lead a team of Zonal Coordinators, Coordinators and Customer Support Executives, who provide fresh trainings, re-trainings and hands on training to House Keeping staff, Nursing staff and Doctors, his love for saving nature has dawned in expanding his expertise to those likeminded using his coaching skills.
